Why did he allow the lion to suffer? I’m sure his arrow caused distress, maybe those who hate what he’s done and live close to his practice can boycott his dentistry and make sure others know how much he delights in pain and suffering!
Because people like that are heartless. This is a whole industry. It only became news as Cecil has a name and is well known there. People need to boycott safaris.
Why boycott Safari’s? I’m not against shooting animals with a camera, or for food. What I am against is causing pain and watching any animal suffering. I won’t tolerate that under any circumstances no matter whether the animal has a name or not. I’m not against killing for food but, again, don’t want the prey to suffer inordinate pain to feed my family.
The governments of these countries allow these hunting safaris. A lot of the companies that do those do the photo safaris too. Perhaps not boycott but be sure that the companies you deal with don’t support this practice of cowardice. Hunting from jeeps with high powered weapons is murder not hunting.
Of course, hunting should be done on foot, preferably with a rifle but much better with a bow or spear and a knife. Up close means you have to be careful and never leave any animal to rot. If you injure it, follow through and kill it. Then take it home, clean and cook it before freezing what you won’t eat straight away. Never kill for any other reason than feeding and we can all benefit.
Exactly. I am not against hunters I am against wealthy Murderers looking for trophies. Using jeeps with high power rifles doesn’t make you a hunter either.
Yup sure does. They are now looking at legislation to stop the import of these trophies through our Port Authority in New York so hopefully it will do some good at stopping this barbaric practice.
They have to do something I suppose, but won’t that just drive up the risks? Usually that pushes things underground and they continue illegally. Look at drugs, they get stopped at the ports, airports and yet still find a way in. That’s a different kettle of fish anyway.
I don’t like him! Why did he go do that for? Geez! Coward!

Paid $50,000 to do it too. That is how sick he is. He knew what he was doing.

Lots of sick people around, but that takes the biscuit.

Maybe but making it illegal leaves this clowns open to prosecution.

Very true, but will he be prosecuted? He’s still such an asshole anyway.

No idea but it will make twits like him rethink murder as a vacation choice.

They should think about it anyway. No-one needs that kind of trophy.
