Can’t wear that over 30. Who says??

stylish after 50

This is how over thirty should be?

Long dresses, flowery housecoats, orthopedic shoes.

Funny that is how you see it at twenty,

At thirty you see the world as it is.

At forty you find out who you are .

At fifty you have confidence in yourself.

At sixty you have learned what you like.

At seventy you do what you want because you can.

At eighty you can wear things that drive youngsters crazy,

Leather pants and sequins.

At ninety you are just happy to dress yourself.

At one hundred maybe the mini skirt should stay in the closet.

The moral of this tale is wear whatever you like and look good in.

Shapely legs are shapely whether you are twenty-five or fifty.

Great boobs if you got em flaunt em.

A jazzy butt? Hey, go for it.

Use the same sense you always had. Wear what looks good and makes you feel good.

Be yourself and for Gods sake don’t listen to some twenty something that has just learned to dress herself tell you who to be.

Made me smile. It’s taken me 50+ years and moving to the country to develop and be confidend about my “own” style. Although when I see corporate clients in the big city, like I am, at the moment, I do regress, somewhat… lol. Couldn’t agree more with the sentiments.
