Life goes by

Day by day life slips by,

working moving papers,

pile to pile with deepening sigh,

We vanish into vapors.

Those we love we seldom see,

As we spend time with others.

How sweet can life be,

When we sit with strangers not lovers.

Children grow with leaps and bounds,

Parents older, lost relationships and bonds,

As we go and do our rounds.

Time slips by the ship of life sails on.

One day we finally come awake,

Nothing left, no one there,

We sacrificed for status sake

and are lost caught unaware.

Story of our modern lives, no matter where in the world we may be! I hope action can follow this realisation and we can get out of this mindless race and do what we really ought to be doing/want to do.

    Very nice piece!
