Monsters in her mind

monsters of your own mind

Monsters came as dreams

Created all her schemes

Twisted up her mind

Left the truth behind.

Much later did she see

The monster that came to be

Was she.

With ropes that bind her

The present remind her

Of the love that was the past

The love that could not last

When the monster gobbled it down.
