Budweiser Pulls Slogan After It’s Accused Of Promoting Rape Culture – What do you think? Is our culture too sensitive now?

I think it was a stupid thing to do.

Budweiser have issued an apology and pulled the latest slogan from their beers after it was accused of promoting rape culture. 

The newBud Lightslogan read, “The perfect beer for removing ‘no’ from your vocabulary.” It was also accompanied by the the tagline, “The perfect beer for whatever happens.”

People soon started to register their disgust at Budweiser’s poorly worded slogan, which was also accompanied by the Twitter campaign of #UpForWhatever. The furor began after the first image of the new bottle appeared onreddit.

Media outlets then picked up the story on Tuesday morning, and by the evening, a social media storm had gathered and criticism was being launched towards the company.

Twitter was soon lit up with messages from users lambasting Budweiser.
